The International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI) was established in 1961 when a handful of instructors got together to talk about how they could improve firefighter safety. Over the next six decades, the ISFSI has contributed to the fire service through education and support of fire instructors everywhere. The ISFSI leads fire and EMS instructors in their efforts to reduce firefighter fatalities and injuries, increase firefighter safety, and improve the profession through education and training.
Membership: $150/year for individual
The National Association of SARA Title III Program Officials (NASTTPO) is made up of members and staff of State Emergency Response Commissions (SERCs), Tribal Emergency Response Commissions (TERCs), Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs), various federal agencies and private industry. Members include state, tribal or local government employees with Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know (EPCRA) program responsibilities, such as health, occupational safety, first response, environmental, and emergency management agencies.
The Wisconsin Society of Emergency Services Instructors (WSESI) assists local instructors through the exchange of ideas, dissemination of information, and the presentation of seminars and conferences. All of this is geared toward helping fire and emergency services instructors in their personal development and assisting them in bringing quality education and programs to their own agencies.
